1. Description of Service

BoatWise is a boat management application that helps boat owners track maintenance, documents, inventory, expenses, and logbook entries. The service is available at boatwise.apptechno.net.

We offer the following subscription tiers:

• Free (first 12 months): full access to all features at no cost
• Skipper — $9.99/year: continued full access after the free period
• Captain — $24.99/year: premium tier with additional features and increased storage limits

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use BoatWise only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the service for any illegal activity or in violation of applicable laws
• Create more than one account per person without explicit written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users data or our systems
• Upload malicious code, spam, or content that infringes third-party rights
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the application
• Resell or sublicense access to BoatWise

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

• Auto-renewal: paid subscriptions automatically renew annually unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Cancellation: you may cancel at any time from your account settings; effective at end of billing period
• No refunds: yearly subscription payments are non-refundable once processed, except where required by law
• Price changes: we will notify you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect
• Payment processing: processed securely via Stripe; we do not store your payment card details

4. Your Data & Content

You retain ownership of all boat data, documents, and content you enter into BoatWise. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. We do not verify the accuracy of maintenance records or technical data you input.

By using BoatWise, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

BoatWise is provided as-is and as-available without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

BoatWise is a management and record-keeping tool only. We are not responsible for missed maintenance schedules, equipment failures, marine accidents, or any other events regardless of data entered into the application. Always consult qualified marine professionals for safety-critical decisions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AppTechno and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of BoatWise.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the application at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of BoatWise after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
